Terms of Service
Last updated: June 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of algomax. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. Please read the risk disclosures carefully — algorithmic trading involves real financial risk.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using algomax (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Who can use algomax
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must not be barred from using the Service or from trading on connected venues under any applicable law or sanctions.
You are responsible for ensuring that using automated trading tools is lawful where you live.
3. What algomax is
algomax is a software tool that turns plain-language descriptions into algorithmic trading bots. It can backtest a strategy against historical data, run it on paper (simulated) trades, and — where you enable it — place live orders on exchanges and brokers you connect.
algomax is a tool, not a broker, exchange, or money manager. We do not hold your funds, trade on our own account, or make decisions for you.
4. Not financial advice
Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Strategy suggestions, backtests, indicators, and AI-generated content are informational only.
All trading decisions are yours. You are solely responsible for evaluating the strategies you build and run.
5. Trading risk
Trading carries substantial risk, and you can lose some or all of your capital. Crypto and leveraged or derivative products are especially volatile and can produce losses that exceed your initial outlay.
Backtested and paper-traded results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance. Live markets differ from simulations due to slippage, fees, latency, liquidity, and price gaps. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
6. Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
7. Connected exchanges and your funds
To trade live, you connect your own exchange or broker accounts (such as Binance or Alpaca) using API keys. Your funds always remain in your own accounts — algomax never takes custody of, or withdrawal access to, your assets.
You authorize algomax to place, modify, and cancel orders on your behalf according to the bots you run. We recommend granting trade-only API permissions and never enabling withdrawals. Orders execute on the third-party venue and are subject to its terms, fees, and availability.
You are responsible for your API keys and for the orders your bots place.
8. Subscriptions, credits and billing
Paid plans and one-time AI credit packs are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically each period until canceled; you can cancel anytime from the billing portal and keep access until the end of the current period.
AI credits power strategy chat and backtests and are metered by usage. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful activity, market manipulation, or trading that violates a venue's rules; no attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform; and no using the Service to harm others or infringe their rights.
We may suspend or limit access to protect the platform or its users.
10. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, and content — belongs to algomax and its licensors. You keep ownership of the strategies and content you create, and you grant us the limited license needed to host, run, and operate them for you.
You may not copy, resell, or build a competing product from the Service except as expressly permitted.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — exchanges and brokers, payment processing, hosting, and messaging — each governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for their acts, outages, or decisions, including order rejections, downtime, or account actions on connected venues.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any strategy will be profitable.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of market data, indicators, backtests, or AI output.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, algomax is not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold algomax harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your trading activity, or your breach of these terms.
15. Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
16. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid plans.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at algomax's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required.
